I learned this the hard way, 10+ poison stacks is nasty.įew little quirks that take some getting use to, otherwise great AoE grinding area. However, if you fail a pull here, it's best to grind somewhere else for a minute or two until the mob's tainted howl wears off, or else your will get poisoned by every mob that you were in combat with before. You could get 15 or more mobs at once here, you have to be a little higher than for the dark runners, but it's a huge pull, limited only by your stamina. The last area is if you hug the mountain range to the left (Moving in the same direction as tha last two pulls) You will go around a corner to another camp. There's a little hill just behind these guys that can make LoS difficult, but there's lots of ways around it if you're prepared. Next pull, continuing in the same direction was more dark runners, about 6 in the camp, just at the edge of the farm, usually pulled one extra mob on the side. The next pull was in the farm area, there's a group of 4 dark runners right in the middle, I'd usually pull a mob or two from the side, then run into the pack of 4, then counterspell another into the pack if there was one available. Two pulls outside the first cave (The larger one with the named patrolling inside), which had mostly Dark Runners, I pulled the two little camps in one pull then got all the loose mobs in the next pull. There are two caves in the southern end of the zone, which was where I was alternating between. All but the casters have a huge aggro radius, and all of the camps contain nothing but melee mobs, there are some scattered casters around the middle of where I farmed (Details to come), but they're usually not a problem. The various nightbane are great for AoE levelling. then fast forward 300+ years.Comment by 4067I'm currently AoE levelling a mage, so I'm stopping by all my spots to comment on their viability for AoE grinding. and then people lost everything, and had to rebuild from scratch or from what they can salvage. now imagine that instead of 15 years, it was 90 years. ultimately, you'll probably have to walk them through the process. watch them stare at it blankly for a while. hand them a smart phone and tell them to make a phone call. (don't believe me? find someone who hasn't used cell phones over the past 15 years. Bad rolls and the character is in a lot of trouble. And he's got enough superpowers and MDC to beat virtually anything wimpier than a Cosmo-Knight in a standup fight.ĭepending of course on his ability to roll well when generating his Morphus. Which makes a Nightbane about as handicapped as any other dimensional traveller from a world that's less technologically advanced than Rifts Earth.Įxcept that he's already familiar with the concept of dimensional travel and the danger posed by demons. (I believe, I'm not at my books right now.) They are just not as numerous since the Night Lords haven't come back to Rifts Earth yet. The Nightbane book talks about Nightbane that are native to Rifts earth. a nightbane native to rifts earth doesn't really make sense to me, but i could certainly accept something that mechanically is exactly the same as a nightbane, but with different flavor. 12x Nightbane Dark Runner slain You might have noticed some larger worgen wandering around with the Shadow Weavers in the woods From what we can tell, these Dark Runners make up the bulk of the worgen numbers. The rules in the conversion books make the second possibility a reality.įair enough. Kill 12 Nightbane Dark Runner worgen for Calor in Darkshire. If however they are native to Rifts earth, then they would be very familiar with modern Rifts technology. If the Nightbane is native to Nightbane earth then yes, this would be reasonable. you really think that nightbane is going to have an in-depth understanding of even *basic* 2098 technology?). until the nightbane has had time to adjust, i figure he'll probably be pretty frustrated. You really think the basic technology for those isn't going to change in 90 years of technological progress followed by a couple hundred years of dark ages followed by ~100 years of recovery?Ī lot of basic devices will not necessarily operate on the same principle by that time. On the contrary, it's reasonable to expect that (initially, at least) a nightbane won't be familiar with rifts radios, rifts computers, or even rifts vehicles.
